This program contains context-sensitive on-line help. To access the help files, simply press F1 or click on the question icon in the toolbar.
**** SOUND ****
Previous versions of Kana for Windows placed the sound files into the default directory "C:\KANA\SOUND\". The install program automatically creates this directory, unless you choose otherwise. Unlike previous versions, you cannot change the default "SOUND" directory. The sound files MUST BE in the SOUND sub-directory of the program files (i.e. KANADEMO.EXE).
**** COMPRESSION ****
The executable and library files in this package are compressed. If for some reason, you need to copy one of the original files onto your hard disk, use the UNPACK.EXE file included on the Install diskette.
If you did not install all the files onto your hard disk you may use the Install program at a later date. The Install program automatically over writes previously installed "Kana for Windows v2.0" program files. However, when installing WINDOWS and WINDOWS SYSTEM files, the Install program will scan the hard drive for any identical files. If Identical files exists, the user will be prompted as to what to do. Thus, replacement is dependent on the user.
**** PC-SPEAKER ****
If you do not have a soundcard and wish to install PC-Speaker (a device allowing you to use the internal speaker for Window's multimedia extensions), refer to the file SPEAKER.TXT in the PCMEDIA sub-directory after installation.
